Welcome to MaunaPet. By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application ("App") and any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

Standard Apple End User License Agreement. By downloading this App from the Apple App Store, you agree that these Terms are concluded between you and MaunaPet only — not with Apple Inc. However, Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using MaunaPet, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. App usage & AI features

MaunaPet provides an AI-powered assistant and pet management tools. You agree to use these features responsibly:

AI disclaimer: the AI Chat feature generates responses based on large language models. The information is for educational and entertainment purposes only. It does not replace professional veterinary advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical issues concerning your pets.
You will not use the AI chat to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this policy.

3. Premium subscriptions & in-app purchases

MaunaPet offers premium features (e.g., unlimited AI chats, advanced health records, PDF reports) via auto-renewing subscriptions, available on a monthly or annual basis.

Payment: charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store Account Settings. If you cancel, you'll keep premium access until the end of your billing cycle.
Refunds: all purchases are processed by Apple. We can't directly issue refunds — please contact Apple Support for refund requests.

4. User content

You retain ownership of any photos or text you upload to MaunaPet ("User Content"). By uploading, you grant us a license to securely store and display that content within your account for the functioning of the App.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. MaunaPet makes no warranties, whether express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the App's features or its AI responses.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaunaPet and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, resulting from your use or inability to use the App, or from relying on any AI-generated advice.

7. Changes to the terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
